National Competition
Competing on a Bigger Stage
As teams progress, HBC may participate in nationally recognized events, including the Cooperstown Field of Dreams Tournament in Cooperstown, New York for eligible age groups.
Tournament schedules are built around availability and the developmental needs of each team, with events primarily coming through organizations such as Perfect Game, Prep Baseball (PBR), and Grand Slam.

Tournament Baseball vs. Park & Rec Baseball
Tournament baseball is a bigger commitment for both players and families. HBC believes families should understand those expectations from the beginning, including the time, travel, cost, competition, and player development involved.
Time Commitment
Team preparation begins well before the first tournament. Practices, training, and development lead into a competitive spring schedule. Tournament weekends may include multiple games, early arrival times, travel, and weather-related schedule changes.
Cost
Tournament baseball includes expenses for coaching, facilities, tournaments, equipment, uniforms, insurance, and administration. HBC works to manage costs responsibly and seeks fundraising and sponsorship opportunities whenever possible.
Playing Time
Playing time is not guaranteed. Game situations, position, opponent, performance, and team needs can all affect opportunities on the field. HBC works to develop and utilize players appropriately within their roles.
Position
Positions are determined by skill, athletic ability, practice performance, training, game experience, versatility, baseball knowledge, and team needs. The goal is to develop complete players while helping each athlete contribute and continue improving.
