Baseball Background & Experience
Coach Josh Council brings 7 years of youth development experience to the dugout, helping players transition from foundational skills to competitive travel baseball.
Coaching Experience: Coach Council has been coaching youth baseball since 2019, managing game strategy, player rotations, and skill development across multiple age groups.
Signature Accomplishments
Coach Council has mentored dozens of young athletes, helping them build the confidence and skills needed to excel in competitive baseball environments.
He has built a reputation for fostering a positive team culture centered around hustle, resilience, sportsmanship, and player development.
Outside the Diamond
Coach Council is a lifelong Hoover resident and graduate of Berry High School. He attended Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
He is married to Elizabeth and has two children. His daughter, Elise, attends Hoover High School, and his son, Dylan, attends Bumpus Middle School.
Coaching Philosophy
“My goal is to develop fundamentally sound baseball players while building young athletes of high character. On the field, we compete with intensity and respect; off the field, we focus on discipline, teamwork, and accountability. Success isn’t just measured by the scoreboard, but by the growth of each player from day one to the end of the season.”
